The Rapid Fire Book Tag

22 november 2016

I haven't done a book tag in a while, so I thought it was high time to do one again! The Rapid Fire book tag is a tag I've been seeing a lot on booktube, and it looked like a lot of fun, so I decided to go with this one.

This tag was created by Kate from GirlReading, and (as usual) I wasn't tagged by anyone. The idea of this tag is to not think too much about the questions, and just answer them. So, let's do this.

E-Book or Physical Book?
Physicial books all the way! Don't get me wrong, I like e-books and they're very convenient, but nothing beats the experience of a physical book.

Paperback or Hardback?
Paperback! My blog isn't called Green Tea & Paperbacks for nothing, haha. Paperbacks are just so much cheaper, easier to take with you and a lot less heavy to hold while reading (I'm weak, okay). And with paperbacks you don't have to deal with dust jackets, which is definitely a plus.

Online or In-Store Book Shopping?
Because I read English books and live in a non-English speaking country, getting the books I want in store is nearly impossible. My local bookstore only has one shelf of English books, and most of them are mysteries and thrillers, which I don't really care for. So I'd have to go with online!

Trilogies or Series?
Trilogies. I don't read a lot of series anyway, and I get bored being in a world for too long.

Heroes or Villains?
Ooh, this is a hard one! I think villains, because they're just a lot more interesting than heroes most of the time. But I prefer grey characters, who are in between heroes and villains.

A book you want everyone to read?
I always struggle a lot with this question. Do I go for a book that has a lot of important messages, or do I go for a book that I'm sure people will enjoy and get them into reading?
I think I'll go for Animal Farm by George Orwell! It's entertaining, very interesting, and has a very clear and important message. And it goes extremely well with the time we're living in now.

Recommend an underrated book?
Some Kind of Happiness by Claire Legrand! It's a beautiful MG book about a girl who deals with anxiety and depression, and not enough people have read it.

The last book you finished?
Holding Up the Universe by Jennifer Niven. I wasn't a fan.

The Last Book You Bought?
I ordered books for a friend for our secret santa thingy yesterday! I won't tell you which ones, because she might read this and I want it to be a surprise.
The last book I ordered for myself was a poetry collection by Sappho. I want to get more into poetry and I've read a bit of her work in ancient-Greek class and I really loved it.

Weirdest Thing You've Used as a Bookmark?
A fork. Don't ask.

Used Books: Yes or No?
YES! New books can often be very expensive, so I'm happy when I can get a cheaper copy on Amazon marketplace. (The 'the Dutch are very cheap' stereotype is confirmed.)

Top Three Favourite Genres?
I don't know the names of a lot of genres? I mean, is YA a genre in itself, or is YA contemporary the name of the genre? As a book blogger I should probably know this, haha. But fantasy is definitely one of my favorites. And I also really enjoy almost every YA and MG book.

Borrow or Buy?
I love having my own library, so I'm going with buy. I also like not having a deadline to read a certain book, like you often have with libraries or when you borrow a book from someone.

Characters or Plot?
I can like a book with great characters but a shitty plot, but I can't like a book with shitty characters and a great plot. So, characters.

Long or Short Books?
Long, but not over 600 pages. That's just too intimidating.

Long or Short Chapters?
Short! It makes me feel a lot more productive, because it feels like I'm getting through the book a lot faster.

Name The First Three Books You Think Of...
A Monster Calls, Am I Normal Yet?, The Sun is Also a Star.

Books That Makes You Laugh or Cry?
I cry at almost every book, even if it's because I'm happy, so I'm going to go with laughing. I love to laugh, but it takes a lot for a book to actually make me laugh out loud.

Our World or Fictional Worlds?
I wonder if anyone would choose for our world, because fictional worlds are so much better! Well, as long as it's not a dystopian.

Audiobooks: Yes or No?
Only when I'm in the right mood, otherwise I get too distracted.

Do You Ever Judge a Book by its Cover?
All the time.

Book to Movie or Book to TV Adaptations?
I have never really seen a book to TV adaptation, but I think I'd prefer that because I prefer TV-shows to movies anyway. I just don't have the attention span to watch a movie, and movies easily bore me.

A Movie or TV-Show You Preferred to its Book?
Even though I loved both the movie and the book, I'm going with Pride and Prejudice! I just loved seeing the story and characters come to live, and the scenery definitely made the whole movie for me. It was gorgeous!
Also, while reading the book I didn't understand Mr. Darcy's appeal. He just felt like a very cranky old 'get of my lawn' man. But while watching the movie, I began to understand why everyone thinks he's so swoon-worthy.

Series or Standalone's?
Series, I love getting to know characters a little more, and having a bit of a 'deeper' story. I often feel like standalone's only scratch the surface of a story, when it could have been so much more!
This only goes for fantasy books, though. With contemporary's I prefer standalone's.

So, that was the Rapid Fire book tag! Now tell me, what is the weirdest thing you've used as a bookmark?

The Hamilton Book Tag

8 september 2016

This tag was created by maureenkeavy over on Youtube!

I know I'm super duper late to this party. For some reason book tags always take me a long time to complete, but luckily that doesn't make them any less fun!
I completely fell in love with Hamilton some time ago. I was super late to the party because I didn't expect to love it. I don't like rap, and I don't like musical, so why would I love a musical about some guy that's important to America? But needless to say, I completely fell in love with it the moment I started listening to it. I don't feel like this book tag needs a longer intro, so here we go:

The Room Where It Happens - a book you would put yourself in
The Percy Jackson/Heroes of Olympus world! I know that it's technically our world, but it just seems so much better! Well, except from the constantly almost dying part. But the characters are amazing, and I'd love to actually get to hang out with them at Camp half-blood and go on adventures with them. But, only if the me-version in this world is a super badass fighter, because I don't feel like dying at the hands of some scary creature just yet.

The Schuyler Sister - an underrated female character
Prim from The Hunger Games! I think everyone (including myself, at first) keeps seeing her as Katniss's adorable little sister, but she's so much more. She's very brave, caring and compassionate, and I absolutely love her.

My Shot - a character who goes after what they want no matter what
Voldemort anyone? He literally splits his soul and murders a lot of people to get what he wants. That's just crazy.

Stay Alive - a character you wish was still alive
I'm going with 2 for this one, because I really wish Lupin and Tonks from the Harry Potter series were still alive. They were such amazing characters, and they just got married and just had a son. They deserved so much more!

Burn - the most heartbreaking end to a relationship
The end of the relationship between Ruby and Liam in The Darkest Minds was absolutely heart-breaking and made me bawl my eyes out. They developed such an amazing relationship throughout the book, and then having it to end the way that it did was just not okay.

You'll be back - the sassiest villain
Definitely Victor Vale from Vicious! I'm still not too sure if he's the villain, though, but that's the main reason why I love this book so much. All of the characters in Vicious are so morally grey, and I wish there were more characters like that because it's just so interesting to see.
I could also go with Queen Levana from The Lunar Chronicles, who is one of my favorite villains. She's just so good at being bad, and she's the queen of sass.

Non-Stop - a series you marathoned
The Selection series! They're definitely my guilty pleasure reads; they're not that good, but they're so so good at the same time! (I am making so much sense right now.) I couldn't stop reading the series once I started it. And Maxon, OMG, he's so dreamy.

Satisfied - favorite book with multiple POVs
I get confused very easily while reading books with multiple POVs. There are only a few expectations, and my favorite expectation is The Heroes of Olympus series by Rick Riordan. I love that entire series. I love the characters, the adventures and the mythology, and this makes me realize how much I want to reread this series.

Helpless - a relationship you were pulling for from the start
This question made me think of the book I'm currently reading, The Kiss of Deception. I shipped Lia and Rafe from the moment they laid eyes on each other. And now that I found out who Rafe really is, I'm shipping them even more! I hope this ship won't sink in the course of the series, but then again, I'd happily volunteer to be Rafe's new love interest if it doesn't work out between them.

What comes next - a series you wish had more books
Definitely The Hunger Games! I'd love to read more about certain characters, like Haymitch and Effie, and I would love to see what previous hunger games were like.

What I'd Miss - a book or series you were late to reading
I am late to a lot of books and series, but the main one for me is The Hunger Games! I was never that interested in them, because I had already seen the movies and I didn't love them that much. However, the series is one of my closest friend's favorite, so she made me read them and I love her for it! I loved loved loved the entire series.

I have a feeling that everyone who wanted to do this tag has already done it, but if you still want to do it then consider yourself tagged!

What is a series that you marathoned?

Tag: The Secret Life of a Book Blogger

28 augustus 2016

Ayla from Books and Babbles tagged me to do this about a month ago, and I have no clue why it took me so long. However, this tag was a lot of fun to do, so thank you again for tagging me, Ayla! Let's do this!

How long have you been a blogger?
Since January 2016, I think. So that's about what, 8 months? That's crazy, it feels like it's only been 3 months or something.

At what point do you think you will stop?
I have no idea. None. I know blogging isn't something I will do forever, but I just can't see myself stopping. I can see myself taking breaks, and maybe posting less when I get super busy, but stopping? No. Maybe I'll still be a book blogger when I'm 80, who knows?

What is the best part?
Having your own place to talk about books where people don't judge you for it, and maybe even like it. A place where you're able to meet new people with mutual interests, where you can discover new books and learn so so much, not only about books but also about representation and diversity. I'm very thankful for all of that.

What is the worst thing?
This might be a very weird answer, but it's not living in the US/UK. I sometimes feel excluded from quite some things (giveaways, events, getting ARCs) just because I live in The Netherlands, and that can be quite frustrating. It's not that I can't enjoy blogging without all these things (because I obviously love it), but it'd be fun to at least be able to take part in those things.

How long does it take you to find/create pictures to use?
Not long. For reviews, I usually just use a picture of the cover of the book that I find on Goodreads. For tags and wrap-ups and such, I usually take my own pictures. The 'taking a picture and editing it'-process usually takes me about 10/15 minutes, I think. Maybe I should spend more time on it, and get a bit more creative with my pictures, but photography just isn't really my thing and I don't really enjoy it.

Who is your book crush?
I have SO MANY! But to name a few: Josh from Isla and the Happily Ever After, Theron from Snow Like Ashes, Gifford from My Lady Jane, Kashmir from The Girl from Everywhere and Percy Jackson! I quite like funny, artsy, spontaneous (maybe even mildly bad-boy-ish) characters. Sadly, I haven't found one of those IRL.

What author would you like to have on your blog?
Honestly? I get way too shy/nervous around authors. Even sending a tweet their way, or mentioning them in a tweet about a book review gives me butterflies. So working with them on a blog post? I'd probably die of anxiety.

What do you wear when you write your blog?
This is going to be such a boring answer, but I usually just wear whatever I'm wearing that day. It's not like I'm like (like like like like) 'Ah, I'm going to write a review. Let's put my blogging-armour on'. (I wish it was like that, though. How awesome does a blogging-armour sound?)

How long does it take you to prepare a post?
Okay, I have no idea, so let me just tell you what I do when I'm preparing a post:
- During the day, I always write down fun topics to blog about or amazing tags I come across so I won't forget, and I look at that list whenever I sit down to write a blog post.
- I take pictures and edit them (for some posts).
- I write and re-write the crap out of the blog post.
- I post the blog post and share it on social media.
During this 'process' I'll probably get distracted a lot of times, and spend a long time watching booktube videos when I should be writing.

How do you feel about the book blogger community/culture?
I love it and I think it's great, but I'm very intimidated by it. I just see so many people being able to talk to other people easily, commenting on other blogposts, talking to each other on Twitter and forming friendships, and I'm just not like that. I'm so shy. I never really know what to say, and I'm way to scared that other people might think I'm weird or they'd think 'oh man, why is this person even talking to me?'. I know I shouldn't care, and that if I talked to people they'd probably be lovely, but still

What do you think one should do to have a successful blog?
I'm going to be super cheesy and say that I don't think you have a successful blog if you have thousands of followers, and you get loads of ARCs and get invited to all these amazing events and be on panels and such. No, I think you're successful when you're having fun with your blog. If you enjoy what you do. If that happens to include previously named things, then that's great! But you don't need all that stuff to be successful. Just write and be proud of what you do. That's all.

If you like these questions and would like to answer them yourself, then consider yourself tagged!

How do you feel about the book blogger community?

Ruler of Books Tag

25 juni 2016

Happy saturday, friends! I hope you're having an amazing day.

Ever since I first saw this tag on Ariel Bisset's Youtube channel, I've been wanting to do it. Ariel is one of my favourite booktubers, and I love how original her content is and how much thought she puts in her videos, and this tag is no different.
The premise of this tag is that you're creating a world of books, and you are the ruler of this world. What things are you going to implement?
So without further ado, here are my answers to the tag questions!

If you were the ruler of books...

What book would you make everyone read?

Ink and Bone (The Great Library, #1)The Rest of Us Just Live Here

I could go two ways with this one: a book that is just amazing and will get everyone into reading, or a book that will teach everyone some valuable lessons. Why not go with both?
I chose Ink and Bone by Rachel Caine for the 'this will get everyone into reading' category. This book is amazing! The characters are very diverse and all have their own distinct voice, and the setting is absolutely stunning.
For the 'this will teach you some valuable lessons' category, I chose The Rest Of Us Just Live Here. This is not the most exciting book you'll ever read, but it deals with mental illness so beautifully, and just for that I want everyone to read it.

What would you abolish in book construction?

Again, I'm going to go with two answers here, with the first one being stickers on books. I HATE IT SO MUCH. I don't care that this book is going to be a movie, I don't think anyone cares, so just STOP DESTROYING THIS PRETTY COVER WITH A USELESS STICKER OKAY. Please. I would be okay with them putting a temporary sticker on a cover, but those 'permanent' stickers are just not okay.
Another thing I would abolish is the fact that they make books in so many sizes. I only own about 10 hardbacks, and they're almost all a different size. I don't get it, and it just doesn't look good on my shelf, so I would make all paperbacks the same size, and all hardbacks the same size. That would save me from a lot of frustration.

What book would you demote to the library basement to make room for new books?

I've never actually read this book, but I've heard enough to make me never want to see this book, or well, book series, ever again. And that series is the Fifty Shades series.

What cover artist would you commission to make a mural?

The Sword of Summer (Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard, #1)

This might be my love for the Percy Jackson series speaking, but I'm going with John Rocco. He designed almost, if not all of the covers of Rick Riordan's books and they're just stunning! I am in love with the way he uses colour and light in his artwork, and to be totally honest, I wouldn't mind a big Percy Jackson mural. At all.

What characters face would you put on a coin?

Ohh, this is a hard one. I'd probably go with Cinder from The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer, because she's just super badass. She's just very inspiring, and she came a long way, so she deserves to be on a coin!
I'm not totally sure if she'd like to be though, but I think Iko and Thorne would happily volunteer for her.

What book would you award the “Ruler of Books” 2016 Prize to?

Ink and Bone (The Great Library, #1)

I know I've already used this book as an answer for another question, but IT'S JUST THAT GOOD. My favourite book I've read all year is definitely Ink and Bone by Rachel Caine! The setting is amazing, the characters are amazing, the story is amazing, JUST READ IT.

What author would you commission to write you any book?

This is such a hard question, because I don't really have a favourite author. I mean, I adore Rick Riordan's work, and I will probably read every book he writes, but he only writes the same types of books, and I'm not sure if he could write any book... Hmm, I think I'll go with Patrick Ness for this one! I really like his writing style, and I really think he could write any book. Or maybe Morgan Matson, just because I'd want to see how she'd handle writing a fantasy novel.

This is the part where I'm supossed to tag someone, but I have no idea who so if you want to do this tag, consider yourself tagged!

Parks and Recreation Booktag

13 april 2016

Even before I started my blog I knew I wanted to do this tag, because it combines the 2 things I love most: Parks and Recreation and books! And to answer your question; no, I wasn't tagged, but I always do my tags without being tagged. I'm just a bit of a rebel.

Leslie Knope: A strong female lead character

Meira from the Snow Like Ashes series. She is FIERCE. She fights her own battles, solves her own problems and she's very independent, and I love that about her.

Ben Wyatt: A character that you can see yourself dating or marrying.

Let's go with another Snow Like Ashes character: Theron. I just loved him from the beginning. He is very polite, sweet and brave. He's also very artistic, and I'm a big sucker for an artistic guy.
The fact that he's a prince works in his favor as well, since the title 'princess' just sounds very good to me.

Ron Swanson: A character that you didn’t think you would end up loving.

Warner from The Shatter Me trilogy. I really didn't like Warner at first, and I thought he was very full of himself and that he acted like he owned Julliete, but at the end of the series I found myself to be completely and utterly in love with Warner.

April Ludgate: A grumpy character that is very loveable.

Reagan from Fangirl! When she first appeared in the book I thought she was just a mean girl, but she turned out to be a great and loyal friend.

Andy Dwyer: A character that seems to get in a lot of trouble.

Definitely Percy Jackson from The Percy Jackson series (duh). It seems like he can't even go to the supermarket without being attacked by some sort of monster or angry god.

Ann Perkins: A character that you would like as your best friend.

This is such a hard question because there are so many??? I really can't choose so I'll just make a list:
  • Kenji from the Shatter Me series
  • Hazel from the Heroes of Olympus series
  • Neville Longbottom and Luna Lovegood from HP
  • Iko from the Lunar Chronicles
  • Maya from the Star-Touched Queen

Gary/Jerry/Larry/Terry Gergich: A book that you don’t really care for.

Sadly, this is the Winner's Curse by Marie Rutkoski. If you want to know why, you can read my review here

Donna Meagle: A book that was spoiled for you.

There are a lot of books because I, and I am ashamed to say this, often spoil myself. I am one of those people who doesn't like surprises and just wants to know what happens, so I often just google it. It's bad, I know.
When people started talking about what awful thing happened at the end of Allegiant, I really tried to contain myself but I couldn't. I just HAD TO KNOW. So I checked it, and spoiled it for myself. I have no regrets though, since I didn't really like the book anyway.

Chris Traeger: A character that is dealing with a lot of emotional baggage.

Hmm, this is a hard one because a lot of characters in YA novels have a lot of emotional baggage...
I'm going with Audrey from Finding Audrey because I really liked that book, and I could really identify with her. I'm still dissapointed with the ending of the book though, A BOY CANNOT CURE ANXIETY. Sorry, it just had to be said.

Tom Haverford: A character that has a lot of SWAG.

swag parks and recreation aziz ansari tom haverford swagger

EtiƩnne St. Clair from Anna and The French Kiss. He might have been short, but he definitely made up for it with his swagger and charm. That guy is a very smooth talker!

Now tell me, who is your favourite Parks&Rec character?

Unpopular Opinions Book Tag

13 maart 2016

I wasn't tagged by anyone to do the unpopular opinions tag (except if you count every person who said 'and I tag YOU if you want to do it' at the end of the video). I just find it so entertaining to see people answer these questions and to find out what they truly think about the books they read, that I decided to do it as well.
So here we go...

A popular book or series you didn't like

As you probably noticed if you read my review, I didn't like The Winner's Curse at all. I didn't like the characters, I didn't like the plotline, it was just ugh.
Another book I really didn't like was The Fifth Wave because I couldn't connect with the characters and the switching POV's were really confusing. (Also, if you want to see my little 'the 5th wave' rant just check out my goodreads review)

A popular book or series that everyone else seems to hate but you love

I loved both the Matched series and The Maze Runner series a lot. They were the first dystopian series I read and these books really wowed me. The Matched series was the series that got me into reading in the first place, so it holds a special place in my heart, and because of this it makes me sad to see so many people hating on it. I kind of understand it, though. I think that if I were to read these now, after reading so many other dystopian books, I wouldn't like them as much.

A love triangle where the main character ended up with the person you did not want them to end up with or an OTP you don't like

Usually, I'm okay with whatever the author comes up with, and I usually root for the couple the author wants me to root for, and that's why I was okay with this couple initially. However, after thinking about it a lot more I'm really don't like the Harry Potter couples. I really don't think Ron and Hermione are a good couple, and I would've preffered Hermione and Harry together. I also wanted Luna and Neville to end up together, and I really thought this would happen, so I was heartbroken when it didn't.

A popular book genre you hardly reach for

I hardly ever reach for mysteries/detectives. I love watching CSI or Criminal Minds, but when someone has to solve a murder in a book I'm just not interested. It's either way too obvious, or you would never be able to guess who did it.
I also don't really care for new adult. I tried it once (I read Confess by Colleen Hoover) but I just don't like it. I don't like how these books treat women and the relationships displayed in these books feel very unhealthy to me.

A popular or beloved character that you do not like

This is going to be another Harry Potter answer because I don't like Snape. At all. I know he has this tragic backstory etc etc but to me he was just a bully. You can't go make everyone else's life hard just because your life was hard.

A popular author that you can't seem to get into

I'd have to go with Colleen Hoover, since almost everyone I know LOVES her books and they're all over bookstagram, but I just don't like them. The relationships she writes about feel very unhealthy to me, I don't like her characters and I think her writing style is okay, and not as good and amazing as everyone else says it is. But maybe it's just me.

A popular book trope that you're tired of seeing

There are a lot of tropes I don't like, but here are a few:

  • Love traingles. I don't think I've heard anyone say 'ohhh I love love traingles'. It just feels so unrealistic.
  • Instalove. Please just give me a cute story of 2 people falling in love over time, and not one where a girl looks at a boy and thinks 'omg I don't know anything about him but I love him so much.'
  • The love cure. I'm so sick of reading about girls with a depression that is magically cured when they meet a guy.
  • The 'blank' character. I've read a lot of books lately where the character doesn't have anything special; they look 'normal', don't have any talents or interests, etc. This is just so boring.
Reaction GIF: eye roll, Stanley Hudson, The Office

A popular series that you have no interest in reading

I don't want to read most of these books just because the number of books in the series and/or the lenght of the books intimidate me (TMI, GOT, etc.) and I just don't care for the plot of the other books.

The saying goes "the book is always better than the movie", but what movie or TV show adaptation do you prefer more than the book?

I don't think I really have an answer to this. I hardly watch movies since they just don't grab my attention and I'm easily distracted. Maybe Love, Rosie since I absolutely loved the movie and I don't really care for the book? But that might just be because I love Sam and Lilly.

Tell me what some of your unpopular opinions are!

R.I.P. It or SHIP It Book Tag

6 februari 2016

Another language altogether. | 15 Things You'll Only Learn From Reading Fan FictionHey guys! I decided to do the R.I.P. It or SHIP It Book Tag, which was created by emmmabooks. I wasn't tagged by anyone but it looked like a lot of fun and it seems perfect for this time of year. Yes, I know, I don't like Valentines either but I want to make it fun and creating new ships sounds like a lot of fun to me.

For this tag you have to write the names of various bookish-characters down on pieces of paper, put these in a jar and then pick out 2 at a time and say whether you'd R.I.P. them or SHIP them! I decided for an odd number of bookish-characters so at the end we'll find out which bookish character will be single forever.

Let the games begin!

Luna Lovegood (Harry Potter) and America Singer (The Selection Series)

Well, this is not off to a good start.
I absolutely love Luna Lovegood. She is one of my favourite Harry Potter characters, and I love how odd and sweet she is. America, however, I couldn't stand. She was so annoying, and I think a lot of people agree with me on that.
I'd R.I.P. it!

Queen Levana (The Lunar Chronicles) and Dumbledore (Harry Potter)

Eh, I'm not totally sure about this. Levana is absolutely evil, and I really hated her, but Dumbledore had some issues as well. I definetly liked Dumbledore more than Levana, but maybe Levana would be a bit less evil if she had love in her life? I think Dumbledore is powerful enough to be able to handle Levana, so I think I'd SHIP IT

Annabeth Chase (Percy Jackson) and Aaron Warner (Shatter Me)

Eh, no. I think Annabeth and Aaron would drive each other crazy 24/7. Besides, I ship Percy and Annabeth way too much to ship her with another guy.
R.I.P. IT

Katniss Everdeen (The Hunger Games) and Peeta Mellark (The Hunger Games)

SHIP SHIP SHIP I am definetly team Peeta and that will never change.

Carswell Thorne from The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer:

Kenji Kishimoto (Shatter Me) and Thorne Carswell (The Lunar Chronicles)

My favourite characters are ones who are loyal and have great humour, and these two have both of those character traits, so I love them both. I think Kenji and Thorne would have a lot of fun together, and they'd be a great couple.
SHIP IT

"When you say you will GO natural, what you mean to say is that you will RETURN." -I Love Being Black: Which Character From The Darkest Minds Are You:

Princess Winter (The Lunar Chronicles) and Liam Stewart(The Darkest Minds)

I think Liam would be a very protective boyfriend, and Winter would love that! Liam is someone who sees the best in people, and I think he'd love Winter. These two would be such a beautiful couple!
SHIP IT

I got Hermione Granger! Can We Guess Your Favorite "Harry Potter" Character? ~ You see a lot of yourself in Hermione. She’s rational, intelligent, and brave, and you know that she’s the real star of the story.: A Guide to Lunar Chronicles Character Traits | blog post by Marissa Meyer (Cinder art by Laura Hollingsworth - http://lostie815.deviantart.com/):
Hermione Granger (Harry Potter) and Cinder (The Lunar Chronicles)

Eh, no. I think Hermione would be a great addition to the The Lunar Chronicles team, but I don't think she and Cinder would make a good couple.
R.I.P. IT

Percy Jackson and Prince Maxon (The Selection)

Can we please talk about how hot Prince Maxon is?
I don't think Percy and Maxon would go well together. Maxon is very gentle and, well, a prince. Percy is a bit more direct and has a much stronger personality, and I think he would be bored very easily with the 'running a kingdom' stuff. And I don't think Maxon could handle all those monsters Percy would definitely bring with him.

Cress (The Lunar Chronicles) and Ron Weasley (Harry Potter)

Ahh this is a tough one. I never really saw Ron as the adventurous type, and Cress wants to see the world, and needs a tough guy, so I don't think they'd be a good fit.

There's only one name left in my little bowl so... who will be the one who will be single forever?

It's...

Leo Valdez (The Heroes of Olympus)
Ahh no this makes me really sad! In the books he always felt like he was the one who doesn't belong and I really don't want him to end up all alone. I'll volunteer to be his girlfriend! End good, all good.
