August TBR

4 augustus 2016

I have literally no idea what my August reading month will look like, because August will be quite a difficult month for me. This is because I'm going away for a week. I can hear you thinking "oh Laura, how is that difficult? That should be fun!". Well, yes, you're right. But you're also kind of wrong.
Going on a trip with a panic disorder & agoraphobia is quite difficult, and I'm already having nightmares about the car ride. I have no idea if my anxiety will get worse the closer I get to the trip, or while I'm on the trip, causing me to be unable to read anything, or if everything will be fine. I hope it'll be the latter, and that I can enjoy reading quite a few books on the beach.
Anyway, I'm planning to read quite a few contemporaries, because SUMMER. I'm also going to be joining readbyzoe's new bookclub Austentatious, which is (as you might have guessed by the name) fully dedicated to Jane Austen's books. This month we'll be reading Pride and Prejudice, which I'm super excited about because I loved the movie!
Besides Pride and Prejudice, these are the books I'll be reading in the month of August:
  • Red Queen, by Victoria Aveyard
  • Let's Get Lost, by Adi Alsaid
  • The Unexpected Everything, by Morgan Matson
  • Pride and Prejudice, by Jane Austen
  • Girl Against the Universe, by Paula Stokes
  • Since You've Been Gone, by Morgan Matson (re-read)
I hope I'll be able to pick up even more books, but we'll see. This is quite a great list of books already.

What books are you planning on reading in the month of August?
